Checking Out: Customizing and Downloading Complex and Compound Digital Library Resources

摘要

Leveraging our previous work on complexly structured digital libraries we have developed a generic check-out capability for digital libraries supports and maintains complex resource customization in an out of library context. By expanding the use of heterogeneous structures in digital libraries we hope to further increase their adoption. We hope to encourage these users by letting them create the structures that best represent their content and then use that content in any form they see fit.
