Interval Picard and related methods that provide automatic error control on the computed results, are investigated for their applications to numerical integration of extended sets of trajectories. A framework for propagating large sets of trajectories with guaranteed error bounds would provide a more robust tool to support current mission design. Based on three-body dynamics, it would allow us to cope with larger model uncertainties as encountered for example, in outer planets moon orbiters dynamics or small body missions. Preliminary results on the benefits and drawbacks of such methods are discussed.
