SUMMARYrnSeveral factors influencing particle deposition in indoor environments have been studied by previous researchers. However, it is unknown that how the pressure affects the particle deposition. Therefore, the analysis on the influence of pressure on particle deposition is studied in this study. A modified Eulerian model based on the three-layer model is used to predict particle deposition velocity. Three kinds of friction velocities(0.1cm/s, 1cm/s and 10cm/s), three locations of walls(floor, ceiling and vertical wall) are used as input parameters to predict particle deposition velocity respectively under the condition of different pressures. The model is then used to calculate the particle deposition velocity and deposition rate in MD-82 cabin respectively in 0.8atm and 1.0atm to understand the influence of pressure on particle deposition in aircraft cabins. The modelled results show the pressure has a degree influence on the particle deposition. Nevertheless, the influence of pressure on particle deposition in aircraft cabin is not obvious when the pressure decreases to 0.8atm from 1.0atm.
