The motor control center (MCC) room exist the following problems: needing cooling year round, air conditioning energy consumption is very large, the MCC room air conditioning equipment type selection and the design of air distribution is unreasonable, and hot and cold air mixing serious, etc. In this paper, combining with specific MCC room, to study the application effect of the MCC room air conditioning system by CFD simulation method. The temperature and velocity fields in MCC room are compared and analyzed, then obtaining a more comprehensive, intuitional distribution rule of air velocity and temperature in MCC room. Presenting the proof for designing the air distribution in MCC room. The results show that: In under-floor air supply condition, air conditioning air flow directly sent into the cabinet and indoor environments , no mixing of hot and cold air flow, heat can be bring out the outdoor air flow successfully; in the up-inlet and down-outlet air supply condition, exhausted hot air stream floating up from cabinet is mixed with down-sent cold air steam , not only do this cause mixing of hot and cold air, but also suppress the flow stream with each other, which is not conducive to the discharge of heat.
