摘要

The prediction of damage and wear of materials due to fretting requires first the determination of the limit response in terms of stress and strain when loading conditions are such that plastic strains happen. The simulation necessary to calculate that limit response for osicllatory contacts is not easy to perrorm with classical finite elements and an incremental treatment of the loading hisotry resulting in lengthy and repeated caluclations.
