Secure Spatial-Domain Watermarking for Images via Image Features and Local Statistics

摘要

A new image watermarking technique is proposed in this paper. The design of the technique is mainly based on image features and local image statistics. Two principle image features, edges and smooths, are considered on the design of the watermark-embedding procedure of the proposed technique so that the technique makes the watermark more transparent as well as robust. Moreover, the technique estimates the watermark according to image features and differences between the local statistics of an image block and the value of the center pixel of the image block. Hence the technique does not require the information of original images during the watermark extraction. Experimental results are provided to prove that the technique possesses transparent and robust capabilities against common manipulations for grey-level images.
