Component-based software engineering has been incorporated in much of the industry. Although the results are encouraging if not very competitive, component-based software engineering still faces a number of significant issues where local component models are concerned. Some of the models in recent literature focus on product lines that follow cues from product line engineering. Others focus on creating various bridges or wrappers between components and the new project by the introduction of various APIs or using new languages or extensions. This paper focuses on domain engineering where previous work had been successful in the creation of a framework for developing domain-specific reusable components. The framework is an improved technique for designing highly reusable domain-specific components. The working model is based around the concepts of Atomic Domain and Wrappers. This paper theoretically applies the model of Atomic Domains and Wrappers to some specific areas of related research in component-based development in attempt to show a normalized or enhanced solution for local component models. The implementation of the model in each case can result in both ease of reuse and encourage high amount of reuse for the programmer and, more importantly, the domain.
