Enterprise JavaBeans and XML Technologies

摘要

Sun's Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) technology combines Java, Internet, and distributed object architecture into a promising paradigm for developing component-based distributed applications. W3C's extensible Markup Language (XML) is a new and promising technology for information exchange over the Internet. In this paper, we explore how EJB complements XML. We first describe the salient features of EJB and XML technologies. We then describe XML-based EJB deployment descriptors and examine how EJB components can be used within the framework of an XML application.
