摘要

The scattering of Lamb waves by defects in an isotropic plate is studied by hybrid boundary element method (HBEM) in combination with an elastodynamic boundary element method with Lamb wave expansion. It turns out that the HBEM can successfully solve the multi-mode conversion phenomena found in a Lamb wave scattering problem. The results show the Lamb wave scattering is quite different, dependent on incident mode frequency, incident mode and defect shape.
