The influence of the reduction temperature over deactivation behaviour on nickel-titania sol-gel catalysts is studied in this work, Reduction treatment has been carried out at low (623, K) and high (773 K) temperatures. The following phenomena were simultaneously observed after high temperature reduction (SMST condition): BET surface area loss, sintering of both Ni particles and support (increase of aatase crsytal size), and deactivation by coking under acetylene hydrogenation.
