摘要

The applicability of CO_2 and NO as probe molecules for the surface characterization of a hydrotreatment catlayst Ni-Mo/gamma-Al_2O_3 was examined. SO_2 was found to sdsorb easily on sulfided vanadium on gamma-Al_2O_3, while was weakly inhibited by the loading of sulfided Mo. A DRIFT study showed that the SO_2 adsorption did no tinterfere with the NO adsorption. Since NO has been considered to adsorb on active metal sites (i.e. Mo, Ni), these results suggest that SO_2 adsorbs on the supprt where Mo or V is to be located.
