INSIGHTS INTO FUTURE INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL STABILITY

摘要

International social stability has typically taken one of three forms: 1) Expansion into relatively open regions; 2) Balance of power; 3) "Closed" periods during which internal factors minimized contact among separate national or ethnic societies. Future stability will be built on new approaches: working to solve the problem of the commons; learning from the future; education; demonstrating that excessive pride is counterproductive - in effect, a form of death wish; focusing on a balance between short-term and long-term stability to ensure a sustainable trajectory.
