Critical points in Knowledge Management (KM) are more and more clearly considered, the lack of consideration of organizational processes and specifically the lack of useful tools and methods, including the organizational aspects for dealing with knowledge processes.rnIn this trend, the paper takes into consideration the "Organizational Relational Model", as a useful method for describing and interpreting these social interactions.rnThe concept of Organizational Relation is a multidimensional one, which includes economic, interpersonal, social, and technical dimensions for describing a particular interaction among organizational units (actors, offices, etc..) inside and also outside the organizational boundaries.rnThe proposed taxonomy for Organization Relations is used to explore and understand the different impacts of the Organizational Relations on the knowledge processes.rnTwo projects on KM developed in two knowledge intensive organizations in the Calabria region, (Italy) constitutes the empirical field for this research and for this paper.rnPreliminary empirical evidences, based on the two KM projects, observed and monitored, are both a source of some research questions and two case studies for the proposed model.
