This paper presents the ecopicNET Project, the development project of electric meteorological observation instrument, which is developed and promoted by the creative network that is tie-up organization of industry and academic sectors. The ecopicNET Project described in this paper aims at developing the electric box housing for outdoor meteorological instrument that is inexpensive and simple operating system by using marketed sensor, electric apparatus and controlling apparatus, has developed and promoted the assumption of several kinds of setup forms since April 2001, Currently, we completed to set up ecopicLANs in 10 elementary and junior high schools in Hakodate City Moreover, we start operating the server system, We prepared continuous observation system in each region of Hakodate area by setting up ecopic LANs. The meteorological data measured by ecopicLAN includes temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure andoptical volume and we are in the process of proof experiment by continuously accumulating the data in server.
