MODERN WOODEN CHURCH BUILT WITH 18th CENTURY METHODS -ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION

This project is being realised in cooperation between the parish of Kaersaemaeki, the department of architecture and many donators. The project is part of the development work done by the Wood Studio. The project has received funding from the European Union. Due to the competition program, all efforts to produce old building forms with modern technology had failed. The aim of the project was to experiment whether it was possible to construct a modern building by traditional methods.
