A dynamic model of a kind of tracked vehicle is established in ADAMS/ATV software environment in this paper. The model takes into account almost all major design parameters of the vehicle. Link tracks are looked as rigid bodies, which make this model more accordant with actually one. It not only reflects interaction of components of the vehicle, but also describes interactional law between tracks and soil. To verify the validity and veracity of the model, a vibration experiment of the tracked vehicle has been carried out. The acceleration signals of the driver seat and the first load wheel axle have been tested. The results show that the model is credible and availability. The dynamic model established in this paper would play an important role in realm of evaluating and estimating the dynamic performance or ride ability of tracked vehicles.
