摘要

Mineralogical characterisation and chemical analysis combined with other physical and textural studies have been performed in sherds from Puente del Arzobispo (Toledo, Spain) settlement. The large depot (300 x10x 4 m) has been originated from rejected samples and furnace wastes arising from the great number of the ceramic fabrics developed in these area, since the end of XV century up to today. In spite to the great importance for the Spanish ceramic history, none archeometric study has been before envisaged. In the frame of a more compressive project, preliminary date on raw materials composition and provenance, as well as firiong temperature, were presented. Calcite-dolomite clays are mostly employed. Diopside, anorthite and gehlenite were the major secondary phases detected. Some additional information for chemical composition of engobes, enamels and pigments are also indicated.
