摘要

Dimethoxymethane (DMM: CH3OCH2OCH3) is an important chemical intermediate. It is used as a gasoline additive, as a building block in organic syntheses, and as a precursor in the synthesis of concentrated formaldehyde (HCHO) streams and of polyoxymcthylene dimethyl ethers useful as diesel fuel additives. In contrast with the two steps synthesis of DMM, the one-stage synthesis of DMM from CH3OH: 3CH3OH + I/2O2 → CH3OCH2OCH3 + 2H2O has received limited attention and achieved limited success[1].
