摘要

Catalytic properties of metal oxides in synthesis of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) from urea and methanol have been studied. The suitable reaction conditions over zinc oxide catalyst have been found, and the yield of DMC can reach to 18.3%. In addition, the catalytic activity of some mixed metal oxides such as ZnO-PbO is higher than that of the zinc oxide alone.
