摘要

A model for predicting Ultimate tensile strength by adjusting rod rolling energy input, which is indicated by mill amperage has been developed in NALCO in last 12 months. The paper describes the factor affecting mechanical properties of Wire rod rolled in Wire Rod Mill. The use of the model is to achieve the required rod mechanical properties by adjusting process parameters which are reflected by the Properzi mill Amperage. The paper concludes by comparing practical results with theoretical predictions.
