A series of new graft copolymers (CAL) of carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC) with acrylamide (AM) and hydrophobic monomer diallyllauryl amine (DALA) were synthesized employing ammonium persulfate (APS) and dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate (DMAEMA) as initiators in aqueous solution.
