Transient currents were measured in nematicrnliquid-crystal cells with and without doping of multiwalledrncarbon nanotubes. Comparative resultsrnsuggest that the field-screening effect induced by thernadsorbed charge is substantially suppressed by therncarbon-nanotube dopant, leading to a reduction of therndriving voltage and improved performance of displayrnproperties.
