AC-plasma display panels were examined beforernand after the aging process to analyze the effect of thernaging process. The gas analysis was done to detectrnthe impurity gases out of the MgO film and phosphorrnby a residual gas analyzer. There were no differencesrnfound in the components. The MgO film was analyzedrnto find out the effect of an ion bombardment due torndischarge. The surface roughness of the MgO filmrnwas different from regional groups due to therndifferent degree of ion bombardments. XPS analysisrnshowed that the 8 hour aging process was notrnsufficient to remove Mg(OH)2 and MgCO3 existed onrnthe MgO surface. Photoluminescence measurementrnshowed the small deterioration of blue and greenrnphosphor.
