This paper presents the application to certain arcs of thernSMART-1 trajectory of a low-thrust guidance schemerndesigned for autonomous interplanetary missions. Anrnanalysis and post-process of the reference trajectory isrndone previous to the simulations to have a situationrnrepresentative of an interplanetary environment.rnThe algorithm to compute the on-board guidance isrndescribed. The DeepSpace1 experience is taken asrnstarting point and an improved algorithm is developed,rnincluding control constraints. In addition, the requiredrnpost-processing of the optimal trajectory to be flyablernby the on-board AOCS is presented.rnResults from simulations in open-loop are presented tornvalidate the algorithm (implementation andrnperformances). Results from close-loop simulations arernpresented to check the guidance performances. In thisrnsimulation, on-board measurement generation,rnnavigation and guidance algorithms are included.
