摘要

Background CO methanation is a feasible catalytic process aimed at obtaining essentially CO free hydrogen rich gas for further use in various processes, where absence of CO is a critical issue, i.e. PEM fuel cells or ammonia synthesis. The purpose of this work was to investigate the performance of various Ru-based catalysts for CO methanation and to establish the role of catalyst carrier, Ru precursors, doping effect of chloride and Ru loading on efficient CO removal at low temperatures with simultaneous inhibition of CO2 methanation.
