(Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TiO3 (BNBT6) piezoelectric ceramics were synthesized at the different sintering temperature range from 1120 to 1180℃ with an interval of 20℃ by the conventional ceramics fabrication technique. The bulk density, phase composition, microstructure, piezoelectric and dielectric properties of BNBT6 sintered samples have been investigated. Results show that all the BNBT6 sintered samples are of high density and consisted of both rhombohedral and tetragonal phases. At room temperature it is found that the BNBT6 sintered samples at 1160℃ for 2h are of the highest density (98% theoretical density) and show good physical properties: piezoelectric constant d33=131pC/N; planar electromechanical coupling factor kp =0.297; dielectric constant εr=615; dielectric loss tanδ=0.020.
