摘要

CDMA is considered as a key technique to realize future personal multimedia communication networks. In this paper, we propose an efficient control mechanism for voice/data integrated CDMA networks. The proposed control mechanism composes of connection admission control for voice users and a packet reservation scheme for data users. Using the control mechanism, the CDMA networks guarantee the packet loss probability required by voice users. Based on the observation of the number of active voice users, the control mechanism appropriately assigns time slots for packet transmission to data users. As a result, while ensuring the QoS guarantee to voice users, the CDMA networks can achieve the efficient use of bandwidth.
