摘要

The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) is an international organization, representing the pilots of 36 different airlines in the U.S. and Canada. With over 52,000 members, ALPA has experience with over 30 different type certificated aircraft operating into and out of more than 600 destinations worldwide. Over the course of our 81 year history, ALPA has had direct involvement with the process of and more importantly with the safety impacts of mergers, within ALPA and with non-ALPA carriers. In more recent years, ALPA has participated in the business and safety aspects as the industry developed extensive alliance and codeshare networks.
