Due to its good plasticity and strength,excellent corrosion resistance and weldability,the nuclear grade 316LN austenitic stainless steel is widely used as an important structural material in the processing and manufacture of many key components of nuclear power plants,such as AP1000 primary pipe,core baffle-former bolts,connecting elbow,preheater pipe,main pump,and so on.Residual stress on the surface of the material,which is produced during the manufacturing,transportation or the process of use,could cause a deterious impact on the performance of the material.
