Distributed video coding (DVC) has attracted increasing research efforts due to its low-complexity encoding requirements and its applications in wireless video sensor networks for monitoring. This paper utilizes LDPC to produce the syndromes to realize DVC. And a prior-hash-based side-information search scheme is proposed to get the closest side information before syndrome decoding, named the Prior-Hash Bits scheme. The proposed scheme reduces the bits of hash in the encoder, and simultaneously decreases the computation complexity and decoding delay in the decoder. Simulation results illustrate the performance of PSNR and the complexity advantages of the proposed scheme compared with the original PRISM (Power-efficient, Robust, hlghcompression, Syndrome-based Multimedia coding) [1] scheme.
