This paper describes the method of reducing the influence of Magnetic Torque Rod disturbances on Attitude Control system performance. Torque Rod Magnetic Disturbances create a parasite feedback to the Magnetometer input and cause the problem of a parametric resonance in satellite Attitude Control System Control Loop. Certain ratio of Control Loop Bandwidth to orbital rate allows to avoid the resonance and diminishes the effect of the disturbances influence. The problem was resolved for the first Canadian Earth Observation satellite RADARSAT in flight by uploading to the satellite a new set of control tables with readjusted control gains.
