摘要

This paper outlines methods for reliable operation of analyzers in safe and cleanrnenvironments by installing them inside an enclosure. It discusses different safety standardsrn(NFPA496, IEC 60079-2 , IEC 60079-13 and IEC 61285), but also how to combine analyzersrnwith energy-saving heating, and active-, hybrid- and passive-cooling. Choosing the rightrnmethod depends on numerous factors including the hazardous area, the size of the analyzer,rnand the demands in temperatures and their stability. Professional design of analyzerrnenclosures/cases, cabinets or shelters/houses can contribute a lot to minimizing the cost ofrnoperations and maintenance during the lifecycle of an analyzer installation.
