ISS COMMERCIALISATION PATHS THE WAY FOR TOMORROW'S SPACE MISSION COMMERCIALISATION

Experience with the commercialisation of the International Space Station (ISS) today, with its development of new markets and the implementation of new collaborations, can be applied to future exploration missions. Based on the European ISS commercialisation experience, this paper gives an overview of the targeted ISS markets, the existing collaborations and the reasons for future commercialisation policies in order to answer the question "What is the importance of today's ISS commercialisation experience for the future commercial exploitation of missions to the Moon and Mars?" It is shown that today's ISS commercialisation can lead the way to tomorrow's commercial exploitation of human and robotic interplanetary space missions.
