Knowledge management is mainly management of risk of misunderstanding or of loss of critical knowledge in some area. When facing the management of knowledge about a long duration space project, we often face a very huge amount of text directly involved in the description of the project. We carry a preventive strategy organized in two steps: we first identify the components of this corpus where criticality is clearly expressed and, in a second step, we track the most obvious evolution in the knowledge involved in these components. On a theoretical point of view, we believe that in a complex organization where viewpoints are confronting, the notion of risk is necessary to better apprehend technical objects designed or used within this organization. Conversely examining the object notion in a "complex" perspective gives better insight of the notion of risk. Then we introduce the notion of value system as the hierarchy that stakeholders of a project establishes among the values he gives to the events he lives or observes, to the situations he faces, to the acts he performs or he undergoes, to the status of individuals or objects which surround him.
