The device has a bending tool (5) with two rolls (26, 60) that are rotated parallel to each other and in a right angle to forward direction. The rolls (26, 60) have two shells with two sections defined for installation at inner and outer walls (23, 21) of the hollow section bar, respectively. The shell of the roll (26) has a projecting section in the center of its section facing the outer wall of the hollow section bar. An independent claim is also included for a method of bending a hollow section bar e.g. a spacer frame, for an insulating glass plate.
