摘要

The purpose of paper is the analytical research of critical loadings and stability of shell structures with various shape cutoffs. The original mode permitting to define critical loadings is offered, without movement's evaluation of the subcritical equilibrium form. The originality of paper involves an analytical character of research of orifice influence in a structure. The idea of this method involves the introduction of a shell full potential energy through elementary volume movements and their derivatives. Movement functions should be determined from a minimum condition of a shell full potential energy. Having movement functions, the full potential energy of a single-piece shell is determined and the variation task is solved. At the problem solving the influence of an orifice is taken into account only in a shell potential energy. Holding on above-mentioned judgments, critical loadings are determined, at which a shell with a cutoff loses stability. The outcomes of research and their comparison with experimental data display justification of activity and feasibility of the given method in real engineering calculations.
