摘要

Door design, particularly for use in public buildings with high level of traffic, has significant effect onrnenergy consumption of buildings for air-conditioning and heating. This paper investigates the effect ofrndoor design, such as pivot, sliding and revolving doors, on the amount of energy lost or gained.rnExperimental work with different case studies using infrared thermography is presented in this paper tornshow the difference in heat losses for door designs. Energy calculations are used to estimate the energyrnloss using three different models. The results indicate that infrared thermography play an important role tornprovide qualitative analysis for heat losses and provide better understanding for the energy performancernof doors in public buildings. It has been found that revolving doors could provide a very efficient solutionrnto reduce energy consumption in buildings.
