摘要

When a marine structure is exposed to an Underwater Explosion, the load on the structure is influenced by what is happening at the interface between the fluid and the structure. The fluid-structure interaction between a homogenous structure and a sandwich structure is significantly different due to the core material in the sandwich. In this paper is an l-D numerical method is described for determining the displacement, velocity and pressure in the sandwich structure and velocity and pressure in the fluid. This l-D load model have also been applied to a 3-D model of a sandwich panel and the agreement between the numerical and experimental results are good.
