Discussion about adopting modified-asphalt thin lift in rebuilding the large area airport cement concrete runway

The ability of load bearing of the cement concrete runway built in China, could meet relatively operational requirements at present. But the functional damage is severe, and the operational quality is very poor. In order to guarantee the flight safety, we rebuild the runway in the large area making use of modified-asphalt thin lift. The result shows that this kind of method has some advantages such as high speed of construction, low cost of the investment, and good effect of operational performance, It is an effective way to solve the functional destruction problem of the old airport runway.
