Research on Anti-freezing Technology for Highway Project in Northeast Cold Area

Jilin Province is located in northeast part of China, it belongs to the cold frozen area. Highway projects are mostly built in mountainous or hilly terrain, there are six months of frozen period during one year and the effective construction period is only half year. The maximum depth of frost in hilly area is 2.5m, some parts are covered with snow throughout the year, and the seasonal temperature difference is quite big, maximum temperature difference is more than 70 degrees. Under this condition, the expressway will be easily damaged by frost heave, therefore, there is a need for us to solve the problem of frost damage and find out anti-freezing methods.
