Condition-based maintenance for building services plant

Condition Based Maintenance, CBM, has been used very effectively on manufacturing plant, but difficulties in selecting appropriate methods, complexity of instruments and cost have prevented widespread use on building services. Recent work by BSRIA with a range of techniques, has shown improved plant reliability and cost savings compared with conventional time based maintenance or run to failure.
