Seoul Naebu Expressway is one of the circular roads in Seoul, thernlargest city in Korea. As this road is connected to both expresswaysrnand major arterials, its traffic volume has increased significantlyrnsince its opening to the public in February 1999. Considering thernentire traffic management in Seoul, the traffic management for SeoulrnNaebu Expressway has a great importance in itself.rnSeoul Naebu Expressway Traffic Management System (hereafter SNETMS)rnis the biggest project as a one-package system among the existing ITSrndeployments in Korea when considering its work scope and itsrnimplementation scale. Implementation and design of SNETMS includesrntraffic engineering aspects like traffic management strategy andrntraffic flow analysis algorithms, software development, fieldrnequipments installation like vehicle detectors, power supply &rncommunication systems, structural analysis of all field equipmentsrnand traffic management center. Here below, we will have a closer lookrninto the features of the entire design and implementation of SNETMS.
