A method for rapid screening of T-Stiffened composite panels for Pareto Optimal designs has been identified - 1. The method uses a space filling DOE to sample the design space 2. Response surface techniques are used to interpolate between design points 3. A MOGA has been used to search the response surfaces and identify candidate designs The resulting data examined and used for design guidance and quick decision making - 1. Direct linkages between panel margins and design weights are made 2. Potential to extract Free Body loads from coarse GFEM and use response surfaces to estimate the panel behaviour Further work - 1. Addition of laminate stacking sequence optimisation 2. Addition of manufacturing and repair constraints 3. Addition of combined test/analysis RSM training data sets.
