摘要

This work describes the experimental platform built as a result of researching activities in sensor integration for robotics applications. The platform integrates three main cells corresponding to RFID technology identification stage, vision based object recognition stage and object manipulation and transportation robotics stage. Different sets of objects are transported by means of small micro robots evolving around given pathways. The paper describes the structure, composition and functionality of this platform. Several experiments carried out on object tracking and object classification are shown and discussed. It is especially remarkable the improvement achieved in the object recognition algorithm thanks to the RFID identification stage. The particular advantages in object recognition as well as in robotized tracking and classification tasks obtained with the RFID assistance are demonstrated and experimentally probed in the developed platform.
