In 80s of the last century the wide use of marine and aviation gas turbine engines for industrial application - compressors drives for gas piping units, mobile and stationary power plants - began. The separate requirements for specified life and other performances of aeroderivative and marine GTEfgas turbine units) appeared in Standards GOST and OST. Strength margin calculations for marine GTE components were carried out according to the strength standards CSRE(Central Scientific Research Institute) named after Krylov, and for aviation engines according to the strength standards of CIAM(Central Institute of Aviation Motorbuilding) named after Baranov. Application of main principles, new technologies and standards of marine gas turbine building allowed to design and produce GTE-110. Produced by R&D Center Mashproekt .(Nikolayev, Ukraine) the GTE-110 engine rated at N=114.5 MW weighs only 55 t, that is 2-3 times lighter than other engines for power generating industryproduced by leading companies ( Siemens . V84.2 N =103.2 MW, having weight of 175 t; Mitsubishi MW-501 N=104.6 MW, 143 t; ABB GT24 N=183MW, 197 t). It is evident, what a powerful stimulus can be given to marine and industrial gas turbine building industry with application of propulsion and and aviation gas turbine engines advanced technologies.
