Encouraging regional integration by use of Information and Communication Technologies

摘要

The New Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) open up new horizons. They are a perfect lever and accelerator of cooperation, inspiring the establishment of synergies and complementarities between national and mainly regional experts. The use of ICT allows an easy and fast access to information, which enforces the exchange of Know-How and experience in the region. Considering all these qualities, ICT can work as an engine for a good regional cooperation as well as good relations within the whole economic world. The regional web site on quality infrastructure www.IQ-Maghreb.org is a Benchmark which sets up a good experience of using ICT in regional cooperation. In the framework of the PTB project « Regional cooperation in the field of quality infrastructure in Maghreb »,the web site was launched on May 20, 2008. Since this date, it has been a considerable basis and had increasingly played a key role in enhancing institutional relationships within the region.
