AC contactor is an important component in the control system, and its reliability is very important. Electrical contact is a contactor's connecting parts, and it undertake making and breaking the current So, it's performance influence the reliable operation of the contactors directly. With the rapid development of modern industry, the higher demand of the electrical contact has been put forward. The research and development of the contact material was subject to a wide range of attention. In this paper, electrical contact material parameter tester is used to test the electrical contact performance of the AC contactor's contact material. Through the equipment, the dynamic changes of the contact during closed and open can be simulated. Through experiments, the breaking and closing of the arcing voltage and current curves, arcing energy curves and contact resistance, fusion power curves are obtained. Through the test results, the material composition of contact, arc, gas environment, shape, hardness conditions influence on the AC contactor's contact material properties was determined.
