摘要

In this paper, a structure tangent stiffness matrices of structures were established via the beam-column theory. Applying the assumption of linear acceleration in Newmark method, the nonlinear dynamic differential equations were transformed into general nonlinear equations, then, the arc-length method was used to trace the dynamic equilibrium path of frames. Through analyzing William's plane frame experienced several dynamic instabilities, it is shown that the way is success for nonlinear dynamic stability analysis of structures.
