Based on the bilinear hysteretic model, the elastic-plastic energy analysis of the parallel base-isolated system is carried out. Considering three factors of earthquake motion and dynamic character of structure, variation rule of various factor contribution subjected to the total input energy is investigated. Results show that earthquake motion character and natural vibration period of structure affect greatly energy spectra of parallel base-isolated system. The total input energy enlarges with the increase of peak ground acceleration and site predominant period and seismic duration. The sensitivity of energy spectrum to yielding shear coefficient and second stiffness coefficient and friction coefficient and damping ratio is not remarkable. In the range of longer period, the total input energy increases slightly with the increase of friction coefficient and damping ratio.
