摘要

To consider the influence of cutting diffuser width at shroud on the flow field in a vaneless diffuser, several cases with different widths have been studied. And the experiment was carried out on a small centrifugal compressor, meanwhile an intelligent hot-wire anemometer using a combination of single straight and slanted wire probes has been adopted. Time-averaged velocity, turbulent kinetic energy, flow angle, static pressures recovering coefficient, and total pressure loss coefficient were analyzed, in order to investigate the influence of width deeply. Finally an optimum diffuser width was obtained, which is useful in engineering design and experimental research.
